Thermal Bath Ritual
A long soak in our copper tub with chamomile and lavender. Twenty minutes of doing nothing.

Spa & Massage · Hudson, NY
A small massage and bodywork house on Marlow Lane. Book a session, stay an afternoon.

Our story
Marigold started in 2014 when Dara Lowell took the lease on an old carriage house on Marlow Lane and spent a full winter undoing what the years had done to it. She kept the wide pine floors, the iron hooks by the door, and a south facing window that lets the afternoon in for an hour each day.
Everything else she built around the work she wanted to do: slow, deliberate massage for people who keep getting up early and staying up late. No piped music, no scented candles, no membership tiers. Just seven therapists, four rooms, and a kettle that has been on since the morning we opened.
We are not a chain and we do not plan to become one. We book one person at a time, and we send you home with the rest of the day to do nothing in particular.
Sessions and prices
Every session includes a short intake, time to settle in, and tea after. Prices are flat. No tipping, no upsells, no add on fees at the end.
Our house blend. Long, slow Swedish strokes with warm sesame and calendula oil. The one most people book.
The full hour and a half. Hot towels, a longer warm up, and time to actually rest at the end.
For shoulders that have been carrying everything. Slow pressure, specific work, no rush.
Light touch, cold stones, and a marigold and chamomile mask. Looks like sleep, feels like sleep.
Basalt stones heated in a small copper pot, laid along the spine. Quiet, weighted, deeply restful.
Subtle work. Barely any movement. Most people fall asleep, which is the point.
Foot work, mostly. A good one to add on after a long week of standing.
Sea salt, sweet almond oil, a steam, and a long lie down under warm linens.
Gift cards and packages of three or six sessions are available at the house.

Four pieces of the menu we keep coming back to. None of them are quick, all of them are quiet, and you will want the afternoon free after.

A long soak in our copper tub with chamomile and lavender. Twenty minutes of doing nothing.

Five oils, hand blended in small batches each Monday. You pick the one that smells like home.

Warm muslin bundles of lemongrass, ginger, and turmeric. Pressed slowly along the back.

Sea salt, sweet almond oil, and a twenty minute steam. Skin like new, mind somewhere else.

We do not run a spa. We run a small house where people come to rest.
